Administration has been made aware of rumors of gun violence at Bryant High School. We understand parents are very concerned. We take all matters of safety very seriously.
School Resource Officers and Bryant Police have been actively investigating. At this time, they have found no evidence of the rumors to be true. The rumor alleged that two individuals were coming to the school to do harm. One of the individuals does not attend BHS, but is in another district which confirmed the student to be in class at this time. The other student who was named is at school and has been searched.
Law enforcement has determined that the threat is NOT credible. As a matter of precaution, BHS will have additional security personnel at lunch and on campus the remainder of the school day.

Are you as excited as we are?
The start of school is fast approaching and we are eager to see your students back with us on the first day of school, August 16th (for 1st-5th grade) and August 19th for Kindergarten.
One of the most exciting parts of returning to school is finding out which teacher you will have this year! You’ve been waiting patiently for the following details:
August 9th: Class lists will be emailed to parents at the end of the day on August 9th. Included in this welcome email from teachers, you will find a link to schedule an appointment for your child to attend Open House. It will also have important back to school information with several necessary forms to fill out.
Due to the increase in Covid numbers recently, Open House will look a little different this year, but we are truly excited about the opportunity to meet you and your child face to face. A Virtual Open House option will be available.
Open House will be scheduled on Thursday, August 12th from 4:00-7:00 pm by appointment only.
Families will use a link provided in the teacher’s welcome email to schedule a specific time to attend Open House.
Time slots will be 15 minutes each, only 5 students at a time, and each student may only bring 2 guests. We will exit all families after 15 minutes and sanitize the classroom before the next group is allowed to enter.
Attached is a campus map showing where each grade level will enter the building. It is important that you only attend at your scheduled time so we can do our best to follow safety guidelines.
The Virtual Open House will be posted on our CES Facebook page at 3:30 pm on August 12th.
Our district's Ready Learning Plan will outline all the safety protocols our district has put in place for this school year. We promise we will do all we can to keep your child safe, but also provide a happy and engaging learning environment that creates such great memories for our students!
Please reach out to me, Mrs. Tami K. Edwards, proud CES Principal, if you have any questions or concerns. I am always available and excited for the opportunity to lead our school to great things this school year! My email is tKedwards@bryantschools.org. I encourage you to join our Facebook page, and download the Bryant Public Schools app to be informed about all activities and events. We work hard to keep you in the loop.
Looking forward to seeing you on August 12th during your scheduled time!

We are excited to welcome you to the start of the 2021-22 school year. Check out the Back to School schedule for open house and schedule pick up information. Link here ⇉ https://5il.co/wgfd
