We are so #BryantProud of Kenzie Kling! Kenzie represented not only Bryant Schools but all of Saline County in the State Spelling Bee. She was the top female, ranking 7th out of 47 contestants. Kenzie is a 6th grade student at Bryant Middle School.
Headed to State: Congratulations to the BHS robotics teams for their performance in the McGehee tournament. The senior team won the overall Excellence Award, Tournament Skills Champion, and teamed up with the sophomore team to win the Tournament Championship. Both teams qualified for the state tournament in Hot Springs on April 9. Doug Maxwell is the team sponsor. #BryantProud

Nineteen students represented Bethel Robotics on 4 teams in the VEX IQ Crossett Tournament this weekend. Team 7319A, 7th grade boys, won the overall tournament championship and qualified for the AR State VEX IQ Robotics tournament. Sheri Maxwell is team sponsor. #BryantProud

BHS Senior Tristan Matthews was selected for a full ride ROTC scholarship. Only 100 candidates were selected out of the 250 students interviewed. Tristan’s GPA, ACT, physical fitness, Zoom interview and nomination from his JROTC leader were all factors in the selection process.

Buzz Academy will be the ONLY remote learning option available to secondary students in Bryant Public Schools. Bryant High School teacher Amanda Black was recognized recently as the Virtual Arkansas Facilitator of the Month. Mrs. Black coordinates the 16 different courses BHS offers through Virtual Arkansas, providing students the opportunity to check out a career field they may be interested in before going to college. The program also offers foreign languages not available on campus. Thank you, Mrs. Black, for helping our students find success!
SUCCESS STORY: Last Friday, Bryant High School 2nd Year Welding student Sabino Olvera competed at the United Welding Institute (UWI) competition in Pottsville, AR. He won the vertical welding competition against 56 students from Arkansas, Texas and Oklahoma. The top 5 went on to the tie breaker event of overhead welding, where Sabino won the overall competition! He received a $10,000 scholarship to attend UWI which he plans to pursue after graduation.
We are #BryantProud of Sabino's accomplishment and his dedication to hard work.
In February middle level FBLA students competed in the District 4 FBLA Spring Conference. Bryant Middle, Bethel Middle and Bryant Junior High Schools represented Bryant School District and took home many awards. Congratulations to these future business leaders! #BryantProud
