MASK STATUS updated 10/1/21: LEVEL YELLOW--MASKS OPTIONAL BUT RECOMMENDED for the week of October 4-8, 2021
Masks are OPTIONAL BUT RECOMMENDED for students, staff, and visitors during the school day in district buildings and on all school buses.
We realize many of our students and staff may continue to wear masks. The district will respect the choice of the individual and will expect students and staff to be accepting of the choice made by others regardless of their decision.
One concern expressed is quarantine numbers will increase. As a reminder, here are the ways an individual can avoid quarantine if identified as a close contact:
• Fully vaccinated for COVID-19
• If the positive person and the close contact were properly wearing masks
• Within the 90 day immunity period post COVID-19
Bryant Public Schools uses data from Arkansas Center for Health Improvement (ACHI) to determine whether students, employees, and visitors will be required to wear a face covering. ACHI’s current status for residents in the Bryant School District is YELLOW. Details here ⇉ https://www.bryantschools.org/page/mask-status

On September 11, Patriot Day gives us time to reflect on the devastating terror attacks that took nearly 3,000 lives. We commemorate those we lost and give thanks to the brave first responders who put their lives on the line. #NeverForget #911 #PatriotDay

Administration has been made aware of rumors of gun violence at Bryant High School. We understand parents are very concerned. We take all matters of safety very seriously.
School Resource Officers and Bryant Police have been actively investigating. At this time, they have found no evidence of the rumors to be true. The rumor alleged that two individuals were coming to the school to do harm. One of the individuals does not attend BHS, but is in another district which confirmed the student to be in class at this time. The other student who was named is at school and has been searched.
Law enforcement has determined that the threat is NOT credible. As a matter of precaution, BHS will have additional security personnel at lunch and on campus the remainder of the school day.

Hornets, get out your Red, White and Blue! On Friday, September 10, students and staff are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the September 11th terror attacks.
Join us in honoring the lives lost and giving thanks to the brave first responders who put their lives on the line.
