Bryant Schools is providing an opportunity for parents to change their student's instructional option (blended or virtual) beginning second semester (January 2021).
In order to effectively plan schedules for student classes, we are asking parents to submit a form for EACH student (K-12) even if you plan to continue your current learning environment. PreK parents should not complete this form since PreK is only offered onsite.
We will use your selection to place your elementary student in an onsite/virtual classroom or develop your secondary student's schedule for the second semester (January 2021) of the school year.
Information on both blended and virtual learning is available on our website: bit.ly/2StNz1c.
If you have questions, please email your building principal.
THE FORM WILL CLOSE ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2020 at 11:59pm.

October is Dyslexia Awareness Month. #LearntheFacts
Dyslexia has nothing to do with vision OR intelligence. It is a language-processing disorder and is characterized by difficulties with accurate and/or fluent word recognition and poor spelling and decoding abilities. It can affect reading, writing, spelling, and speaking.
For more information on Bryant’s Dyslexia intervention services, visit bryantschools.org/page/dyslexia.

1st grade is using math games to reinforce the addition standards we have been learning!

Kindergarteners practice letter formation, letter recognition, and letter sounds each day. These are some daily activities we do to help with making the sound for each letter, use the correct letter formation, and and name the letter when we see it.

Mrs. Phillips class went on a leaf hunt today on the trail. We have been learning about leaves this week. We are writing a narrative about a Leaf Man adventure. We are thankful for the Nature Trail that our school has.

Donaven Sims is serving his 5th year as Salem’s principal. He has 17 years in the education field. His favorite quote comes from Dr. Seuss, The Lorax:
“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, Nothing is going to get better. It's not.”
Thank you, Mr. Sims, for caring for our Salem students, parents and staff!

First grade is having fun writing in our writing journals and creating heart maps to help us come up with writing topics!

Want a flexible job that fits your child's school schedule? Consider becoming a substitute!

Salem 2nd Graders are using various methods to create narratives. Some are using computers and some are using silly pictures. We are learning how to be excellent writers and using our tools to help us.

Thank you to all of our wonderful Bryant Nurses that helped out with the Salem Flu Clinic today! We greatly appreciate you taking care of our little Tigers!
