REMINDER: All students will be dismissed early on Thursday, September 28 for Secondary (6-12th grade) Parent Teacher Conferences. Teachers will reach out to parents to schedule conference times.

A MESSAGE from HCE PTO: Our mother/son event will be on Friday, September 29th, from 5:30-6:45pm. Please join us for an evening of food, games, and prizes! The cost is $10 per family, and tickets can be purchased online in advance on our member hub, or you can pay at the door. Please keep in mind that this event is intended for mothers and sons only. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. For the second year, our district is participating in the #GoGold campaign. All Hornets are asked to #GoGold on Friday, September 29. Wear gold clothing/accessories or wear a gold ribbon. We are asking students to donate $1 and staff to donate $2. All donations will be given to Arkansas Children’s Hospital Hematology/Oncology Child Life Department to support children with cancer and their families.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: All transportation changes must be made in the office, no later than 1:30pm, unless there is an emergency. Please call the office to let us know that your child will be getting home a different way than normal. The Hornet Health Clinic is a full service medical clinic located on the district's main campus which partners with ARcare to provide students with primary, preventative, and convenient healthcare. Join us for an open house and ribbon cutting on September 8 to celebrate the new facility and new provider. Tour the clinic and meet the people committed to keeping our Hornets healthy. Drop by before the big Friday night game against Parkview Magnet.

Congratulations to our very own Dr. Karen Walters for being recognized as the 2024 Arkansas Superintendent of the Year! Dr. Mike Hernandez, Executive Director of the Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators (AAEA), presented her with the award on September 5. Dr. Walters is an exceptional leader who is extremely deserving of this honor. Join us in celebrating her achievement! #BryantProud
