Bryant Schools is pleased to announce Jacqueline Vergason has been selected as the new principal of Hurricane Creek Elementary.
Mrs. Vergason graduated from Harmony Grove High School. She earned a BSE in Elementary Education, with a minor in Early Childhood from Henderson State University; a Master of Science in Library Media and Information Technology from UCA; and an Education Specialist in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University. Mrs. Vergason is entering her 27 year in education. She served as the Assistant Principal at Bethel Middle School for the last two years.
Her prior experience includes 13 years as a classroom teacher, both an elementary and middle school Media Specialist, a district Literacy Instructional Facilitator, and an RTI/Dyslexia Specialist.
She has been married to Keith for 30 years. They have two children, Zane who attends Arkansas State University, and Hannah who is a third year law student at Bowen, and her husband Seth.
Mrs. Vergason loves to spend time with her family, cycling, and summer days boating on the lake.
She is an advocate for parents and educators. “Two of the most valuable resources in a child’s education are their parents/guardians and teachers. My goal is to provide them with the necessary support and encouragement to ensure a successful experience for every student.”
