An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. This year, more than ever before, it’s vital to do everything possible to protect the health of students, staff, and families.
COVID-19 continues to be a significant health issue. Fall and winter also mean flu season. It is possible to have the flu (as well as other respiratory illnesses) and COVID-19 at the same time. Two respiratory infections circulating in the body can be problematic and complicate recovery. Because of the potential double infection, the ADH and CDC recommend getting the flu shot to lessen the effect of at least one of the two respiratory illnesses. Added to the fact that both COVID-19 and the flu are easily spread, it just makes sense to get a flu vaccine.
BLENDED STUDENTS Bryant Public Schools, in conjunction with the Saline County Health Unit, will be offering flu clinics for blended (onsite) students and staff. Schools are distributing flu packets to parents. Please complete the forms and return as soon as possible to reserve your student’s flu vaccine.
