On Friday, July 23 DESE (Division of Elementary & Secondary Education) offered districts the option to reapply for a digital learning plan. Bryant Public Schools did not submit a virtual learning plan for elementary students last spring because of very low parent interest along with the significant decrease in COVID-19 cases.
While we believe onsite learning is the best option for students, we understand parents’ concerns with the rising number of COVID cases affecting younger children.
As a reminder, state law prohibits schools from requiring students and staff members to wear masks.
If you are interested in a virtual option for your student (Kindergarten-12th grade), we ask that you complete the following form and submit by Wednesday, July 28 at 8am. A FORM SHOULD BE SUBMITTED FOR EACH STUDENT (IF YOU PREFER VIRTUAL).
IF YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN A VIRTUAL OPTION FOR YOUR STUDENT, DO NOT FILL OUT THE FORM.
Please note the district is simply gauging interest in virtual learning. The survey does not guarantee a virtual option. Any announcements regarding an approved digital learning option will be communicated IF a plan is submitted and approval received from DESE.
