Bryant High School students garnered outstanding results from the 2022 Spring Advanced Placement (AP) exams, earning them college credit. Along with more exams being taken than in the past, more students earned a 3 or better on the exams.
During May of 2022, 626 students at Bryant High School took a total of 1,319 AP exams in thirty areas offered. For students who earned a score of a 3, 4, or 5 on a 1-5 scale, college credit is awarded in any Arkansas public university. In 2022, 361 AP students earned a score of 3 or better on at least one exam, allowing them to earn college credit while in high school.
College Board announced the 2022 AP Awards for Bryant High School based on performance on the AP exams. Bryant had a total of 160 students receiving AP Awards.
Thirty-three Bryant School District students qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction awards which is the highest award for students who scored at least an average 3.5 and who took at least 5 exams total in high school. Bryant’s AP Scholars with Distinction had an average score of 3.92!
Eighteen Bryant students were awarded AP Scholar with Honors awards. These students took at least four AP Exams in high school scoring an average of at least 3.25. Bryant students earned an average score of 3.56.
Students who earn the AP Scholar award took at least 3 AP Exams during high school and scored an average of at least 3.0. Bryant had 99 students earn the AP Scholar award.
Bryant High School also offers the AP Capstone™program, a diploma program from College Board based on two year long AP courses: AP Seminar and AP Research. Rather than teaching subject-specific content, these courses develop students’ skills in research, analysis, evidence-based arguments, collaboration, writing, and presenting. Students who complete both AP Seminar and AP Research courses scoring at least a 3 on both exams earn the AP Seminar and Research Certificate. Students who take at least four AP exams, scoring a 3 or better, also earn the AP Capstone Diploma. Congratulations to Bryant High School’s first group of five students who earned these awards!
