Jo Cahill, a school bus driver for Bryant Public Schools, recently took action to help local children in need. On Super Bowl Sunday, she stumbled upon an incredible deal at Walmart: shoes for just a dollar a pair. Cahill, who drives bus number 57 on route 50, decided to buy 75 pairs of shoes, knowing they could make a difference for students in our community.

As a bus driver, Cahill said she sees the need for basic items like shoes, clothes, and school supplies every day. "I feel like a second parent to these kids. I care about them as if they were my own," she explained. With that in mind, she thought about donating the shoes to a local organization that could distribute them to families in need.

After reaching out to Dr. Karen Walters, Superintendent of Bryant Public Schools, Cahill was directed to The Kids Closet, a program run by the Rotary Club. She delivered the 75 pairs of shoes to the organization, which helps provide clothing and other essentials to local families in need. "We help each other out here in Bryant," Cahill said. "I couldn’t think of being anywhere else."

Jo Cahill is an example of being Bold, Brave, and Bryant. Her donation highlights the power of community support and how small actions can make a big difference.
