National On-Air Talent

Bryant High School Senior Chelsea Jensen is one of five finalists for National On-Air Talent of the Year from the Foundation of The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS). Chelsea’s nomination is for the 2024 National Student Production Awards, selected from high school student entries across the country in 24 programming and craft categories.

Chelsea is the two-time reigning Mid-America Chapter Regional Emmy winner in the category. Her submission is from work in the Hornet Media program during her junior year. Michael Westbrook is the Advisor for the award winning program at Bryant High School.

More than 2000 entries were submitted to the regional chapters of The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Winning entries from the chapters were then submitted for consideration in the National Student Production Awards competition. Entries were judged by selected industry professionals and media academics. Recipients will be announced November 21, 2024.
