Because we value a focused and productive learning environment, secondary students (grades 6-12) will not be allowed to access their cell phones during the school day. Along with our cell phone free expectation, we do not allow bluetooth headphones/earbuds and smart watches.
Our Student Handbook states “Cell phones and other devices must be kept on silent and stored out of sight during the school day.” Students may bring their devices to school, but they must be turned off and stored in backpacks during the instructional day. We have made a commitment to thoroughly implementing this throughout all of our secondary schools. Students who violate the cell phone policy will face disciplinary action.
