Bryant's Teacher of the Year for 2024-25, Elaina Weaver, has shaped the minds of 6th-grade students at Bethel Middle School for the past five years, creating a classroom where math is more than numbers—it’s about confidence, resilience, and a passion for learning. Through hands-on experiences, real-world connections, and collaborative problem-solving, she ensures every student feels seen, heard, and capable of success. She doesn’t just teach math—she inspires students to think critically, work together, and approach challenges with perseverance.

Beyond her classroom, Mrs. Weaver’s leadership has transformed instruction across the district. She developed a student data tracker that was first implemented at Bethel Middle School and is now a district-wide model for all secondary schools. This system has revolutionized how we identify students in need of both remediation and enrichment, ensuring that no student is left behind.

As math team lead, she fosters a culture of collaboration, providing her fellow educators with the tools and support to deliver high-quality instruction. Her commitment to excellence is evident in her work developing 6th-grade common assessments, which have strengthened consistency and rigor across our middle schools. She is also a recognized presenter at educational conferences, sharing her expertise with teachers beyond our district.

But what truly sets Mrs. Weaver apart is her heart for service. Whether assisting students, mentoring colleagues, or supporting administrators, she is a constant source of positivity and encouragement. Her willingness to step in wherever needed, combined with her unwavering dedication to student success, has earned her the deep respect of her peers and the admiration of her students.

More than a teacher, Mrs. Weaver is a mentor, innovator, and champion for education. We proudly celebrate her impact and congratulate her as Bryant’s 2024-25 Teacher of the Year! She will now represent Bryant in the 2026 Arkansas Teacher of the Year program.
