School based mental health

Parent Guidance Mental Health Series

The Bryant School District has partnered with the Dawson Education Service Cooperative and The Cook Center for Human Connection to provide a valuable resource designed to support families in addressing essential mental health topics. The โ€œMental Health Series Platform,โ€  found at ParentGuidance.org,  provides comprehensive coverage of 32 crucial mental health topics, helping you navigate various challenges and opportunities with your children.

The "Mental Health Series" includes:

  • Resources and articles on a variety of mental health issues.

  • On-demand videos and pre-recorded sessions.

  • Live, facilitated webinars.

  • Sessions available in both English and Spanish.

The topics range from managing anxiety to strategies for helping children succeed. We believe this will be a powerful tool for parents seeking guidance and support on a variety of concerns.

To access this platform, please visit ParentGuidance.org. Once there:

  1. Select the "Mental Health" series from the top toolbar.

  2. Choose "Arkansas" and then select "Bryant School District."

A monthly calendar covering featured topics is available below. Parents can choose convenient days and times and click the event title to register. Also available in Spanish, some of the upcoming live events include:

  • ABCs of Substance Abuse & Vaping

  • Your Active Child: ADHD

  • Understanding Video Game Addiction

  • Your Childโ€™s Anxiety

While these are featured sessions, parents have access to the full range of resources and materials available on the platform.  We encourage you to explore these tools and use them as part of your familyโ€™s journey to better mental health and well-being.
