Bryant High School will implement a Late Start Wednesday for all students (Grades 10-12) beginning Wednesday, September 11, and continuing weekly. On Wednesdays, the BHS school day will begin at 8:55am and will end at the usual time of 3:27pm. 

BHS has utilized Late Start Wednesdays for the past two years. By scheduling this common collaboration time for teachers and staff to plan for remediation and enrichment, we have seen significant improvements in learning for all students. We plan to continue focusing on these positive student outcomes.

On Late Start Wednesdays, students will attend all seven classes. Students will not have an advisory period. Students may come to school at normal time for breakfast. Independent study and homework help will be available in the cafeteria beginning at 7:55am. Bus routes will run at regularly scheduled times. Students who do not turn in missing assignments and are assigned The Zone, will also be required to attend The Zone during Late Start Wednesdays in the cafeteria.  More information will be released about this at a later date.

Students not assigned to the Zone or do not wish to receive extra help may also choose to remain at home until 1st period which begins at 8:55am.
