The Dawson HIPPY Program is currently enrolling 3 and 4 year olds for their home-based, parent involvement program. The program has 30 weeks of age-based curriculum designed for the parent to teach early learning skills to their child that prepares them for their educational success. Studies have shown that a child’s home is one of the most important environments for learning. Parents will come away with firsthand knowledge of their child’s strengths and weaknesses and a confidence that they CAN be their child’s first teacher. A child must turn 3 by December 31st to participate. Call, or e-mail to see if your child qualifies. 501-653-5611 or crowlan@nullbryantschools.org

HIPPY – Home Instructions for Parents of Preschool Youngsters

What to expect:

HIPPY Home-based Educators visit parents of 3, 4, and 5 year old children, in the home, once a week for at least 45 minutes and role play lessons. Each set of lessons includes activities focusing on literacy, math, science, motor skills, and language development.

Parents also meet with other parents in the program, at least once a month, for group meetings designed to further enhance parenting skills. These two delivery methods, role play and group meetings, empower parents as their child’s first and most important teacher.

All lessons and storybooks are available in English and Spanish.
