BJHS Jazz Band: Every student auditioning was selected as either 1st Band, 2nd Band, or Alternate in the All-Region Jazz Band. Bryant placed more students than any other school in our region!

Congrats to the Bryant Junior High Hornets Football Team for earning the 2019 Central Arkansas Junior High Conference Football Championship. The Hornets accomplishment also includes a perfect undefeated season!
The Food Service team set two new meal records on Thursday: 2,486 breakfast and 5,810 lunches, which equals 8,296 meals.
After a fantastic performance at the state competition, the Legacy of Bryant received a superior rating and placed 4th overall.
We are celebrating a partnership with Entergy Arkansas to reduce energy usage. By implementing the Entergy Solutions Program at Parkway Elementary School, Bryant Schools was awarded a $66,641 incentive check to be used for facility projects.
SPES Heroes for Hunger food drive: A total of 1,798 food items were collected for 35 Springhill families to enjoy Thanksgiving and Christmas meals with all the trimmings!
BMS teacher Michael Work and SES teacher Peggy Lockhart were selected by Arvest Bank to receive $500 for their classrooms.
CONGRATS to the 2019 Hornet Yearbook staff! The 2019 book, “Common Ground,” was named a Crown Finalist by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association, one of only 56 high school yearbooks nationwide to receive the honor.
Morrilton Cheer Competition: 9th Cheer team won 1st place; 8th White Cheer won 1st place and 8th Blue Cheer won 2nd.
BMS collected over $1,000 for the Food Drive.
BEMS 7th grade football completed an undefeated season.
Superintendent Karen Walters and Davis Elementary principal Dondre Harris both served time in support of the Bryant Boys and Girls Clubs fundraiser.
Students in the BHS work based learning and employment programs OWL/HIRE worked 2,056 hours, earning $11,720 during the first nine weeks.
Bryant Hornets finished third at the 6A-Central Conference. The Lady Hornets earned 2nd place.
The Legacy received a 1st Division Rating at the BOS Super Regional in Indianapolis.
At the Mcgehee Robotics Tournament, the high school 5691x team scored the excellence award; 5691b earned the skills champions; and both teams were named tournament champions. Middle school results included the judges award (1338g); design award ( 1338x); skills award (1338b); and tournament champion designation (1338b & 1338x).
9th Dance was second place in Jazz, Pom, and Hip Hop at Bentonville.

Schools celebrated Red Ribbon Week with pledges to be drug free.
The Legacy scored 1st division with all Superior Ratings at the ASBOA Region Marching Assessment.

Bryant Junior High Blue wins 1st in Overall Hip-Hop in Sheridan. 8th Grader Lauren Elliott wind 1st Place Overall Solo, 1st Place in Jumps and Leaps, and 1st Place in Turns!
Cross Country Jr. Boys won 1st and Girls 2nd overall at the Hot Springs Invitational.
Libby Majors was crowned Homecoming Queen.
Legacy of Bryant earned 2019 Powerband Classic Invitational Grand Champion and Best in Class distinctions at the Lake Hamilton Classic.
Congrats to Coach Nicole Bradbury for running the Chicago Marathon in 3:26:22, which qualifies her for the Boston Marathon.
Junior boys won the Danny Westbrook Bryant Hornet Invitational! Sr. Girls and Sr. Boys placed 2nd, Jr. Girls placed 3rd.

Of the 101 Bryant Choir students who auditioned for All-Region, 89 were selected; 53 were selected for mixed choir with THREE of the eight first chair slots.

The Arkansas Department of Education’s Division of Elementary and Secondary Education released the 2019 federal and state accountability reports for public schools. Bryant Public Schools celebrates all A and B ratings for our schools. We recognize success comes from the hard work, commitment, and support from our great students, teachers, parents, and community!
Hill Farm Elementary’s Community Club is fighting hunger one backpack at a time. The group was featured in the fall Serving Hope magazine, a publication of Arkansas Food Bank.
BHS Beta Club teamed up with Student Senate to serve at the annual Second Chance Youth Ranch banquet.
Bryant Bands earned 2nd place (Class AAAA) and 2nd place Overall in the Bentonville Marching Invitational.
BJHS 8th Blue Dance won 6A: 3rd Place Pom, 6A: 1st Place Hip-Hop Individual: 1st Place – Lauren Elliott Outstanding Leaps & Jumps: Lauren Elliott Outstanding Turns: Lauren Elliot BJHS 8th White Dance won 1st place in Pom and 3rd in Hip Hop.
Parent Center received a $30,000 McKinney-Vento grant to help homeless children in the Bryant School District. A portion go to the PreK program for a Parent University.
The Lady Hornets Golf team qualified for state finishing in 7th place. Caitlin LaCerra finished 6th in individual.
The Bryant Fire Department began visiting elementary schools to teach students and staff about fire safety as part of #FirePreventionWeek.
Mrs. Hare’s Service Learning class celebrated National “Coffee with a Cop” Day on Oct. 2 with Bryant High School Resource Officers Sergeant Paul Tarvin, K9 Officer Mya & Officer Lee Ledbetter.
The Legacy of Bryant competed at the Cabot Invitation, earning 1st place Overall and first in the following categories: Class D, Percussion, Overall Music & Visual.
Congrats to current Prospective Newspaper editor senior Max Preuninger and former photo editor 2019 grad Sydney Boswell for being named NSPA Design of the Year Finalists for Newspaper Front Page Design! Their entry is one of the top ten in the nation for last year.
