ImmunizeAR selected the Hornet Health Center as the 2018 Outstanding Efforts in Influenza Champions. Congratulations to our pediatrician, Dr. Anton Duke, HHC Coordinator Angela Lasiter, and the other members of the Arkansas Pediatric Clinic and Hornet Health Center staff for this well earned honor!
The HHC team educated the community about facts/myths of flu shots, including translating information to help Spanish speaking Bryant families. HHC sent immunization postcards to students across the district; worked with schools during the flu clinics; communicated with school nurses; and coordinated with Arkansas Pediatric Clinic in Little Rock for flu vaccines.
HHC nurses provided vaccines to students during school day appointments. The clinic coordinator worked with children to make the experience comfortable.
Bryant Schools thanks the Hornet Health Center for keeping our students and community healthy. The school-based health center, which offers medical, dental and mental health services, is located on the Bryant Elementary campus.
