School districts may submit AMI (or Alternative Methods of Instruction) Plans to the state for approval to be implemented when school is canceled due to emergency or exceptional circumstances. Inclement weather days are one example. Using AMI, students complete activities and assignments at home rather than adding those missed days to the end of the school year.
Bryant’s 2017-18 plan allowed AMI to take effect AFTER five days had been missed. The first five canceled school days were added to the ending date of the approved school calendar.
The district is considering revisions for next year’s plan. Please take a few moments to share your thoughts to help us make decisions about our AMI Plan for the 2018-19 school year.
Please submit responses by April 25.
