Hill Farm Elementary finished in 59th place against 180 elementary schools across the nation last weekend at the recent NASP National Archery Tournament. A total of 14,492 elementary, middle school, and high school students competed. The team from Benton, LA won the tournament with 2362 points.
Hill Farm shot their best score to date, 3008 points. Jase Ham was the top male shooter for HFE with a score of 272; Landon Smith was 2nd top male shooter for HFE with 262 points followed by Justin Reese with 252 points. Top female shooters for HFE were Kaylee Smith with 262 points, Abigail Dunbar with 259, and Abby Lee with 258 points.
Archery coach Nancy Wood commented, “The national tournament was a great experience for our studentsab. They represented our school, district, and state very well. I am extremely proud of their efforts.”
