Community partner, Garver, delivered STEM kits and a $300 donation to Bethel Middle School. With the goal of helping students gain a better understanding of STEM concepts, the kit encourages teams to build a contraption from the components (and additional objects if they choose). Teams submit a video of their project for the Garver Chain Reaction Challenge. Bryant Middle School and Salem Elementary each received STEM kits and $300 donation to create their own contraptions for the challenge.
Garver Chain Reaction Challenge entries will be judged by a panel of engineers based on the creation’s total running duration, innovation, and presentation. The top five submissions will receive a check for $1,000. Garver Chain Reaction Challenge winners will be announced May 15.
