Exciting Changes Coming to Bryant High School

Bryant High School is creating a more relevant and personalized learning environment while implementing additional opportunities for Bryant students to be college and career ready once they graduate.

In 2019-20, Bryant High School will begin the transition to Career Houses (link to booklet). Students are using YouScience surveys to help them discover aptitudes and interests, leading them to a Career House.

The Career House a student chooses will only affect which advisory group the student will be placed in for the 2019-20 school year. The student will continue to have the flexibility to select whatever classes he/she may want to take in any of the Career Houses.

The most important part of the transition to Career Houses is the advisory period, a place to build closer relationships with teachers and other students. The advisory period (scheduled between 3rd and 4th periods) will be a time for students to connect with their advisory teacher, check grades and attendance, and learn about careers, advanced training and colleges. The advisory period will also provide an opportunity for guest speakers, mentoring, enrichment classes, test prep, tutoring and club meetings.

For more information about the career houses and how it will affect course scheduling for next year, please read Frequently Asked Questions.  For more information, contact bhscareerhouses@bryantschools.org.
